LiFe

i love the above quote. it means a lot, really. i always think dat life is full of beauty. its beautiful. i knw life can never be as perfect as u can imagine. as thgs in Neverland. sometimes - there r those moments dat u feel like u jst want to skip and be done wit it - but , u cant. of course u cant, . life is those moments dat u hav to go thru. be it - u want it, or not. be it - u love it, or u hate it. theres no remote control in life where u can rewind and fast forward the moments.  - if it is so, i definitely will get one for me, hell yeah! but the fact is - there is no such.
no way too, u can freeze time. but if ur able to see the meaning of each moments u've been thru - whether it is good or bad - u'll find the life is worth to live. anyway - . life can be describes as many different thgs to other ppl. and someone even said dat life is like an endless marathon. dun u love the term? . jst like wat i said - u cant freeze time, u cant click the'pause' button in life - for there r none. u jst gotta go.. and continue ur life as u go along.

life is a marathon! i heard various version of wat life is. u name it, u got it. life is a gift - enjoy it. life isnt a dance on roses - dun get ur hopes too high. life is a battle , fight for it! life is a box of chocolate - u never knw wat ur gonna get - u mght be surprised sometimes, be happy anyway. life is a bitch - hardships await u. some even say life sucks  - so wat, things  happens sometimes. life is beautiful - fateful and tragic last words. the fact is - i think we r all missing the point. life is just life lah. and u mght say - life is an endless marathon. dats wat i think. it din come free. so if it is true - then wat? wat r most important success principles in a marathon?

needless to say, u need to hav enuff energy and resource to succeed. u need to be tenacious. u need to hav a strong mind. u need to use ur strength wisely and skilfully. u need to hav faith, hell yeah. u shld never lose ur trust in urself under any circumstances and never let the final goal slip out of ur mind. u must not be ruthless to ur fellow runners. kindness and helpfulness can go a long way. be grateful for any help u receive on the way. u also need to remember - any short term success surely add to the final success. and any small set back - is jst a temporary set back. yet the final score is not yet decided.
armed wit dis knwledge - u will not be devastated when u find urself in a temporary slump. the final score is wat it counts. u mght be surprised in the end of the march. it is not the strongest dat wins. it is somethg else.

10 tips to fight depression

1. Look at those below you
The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whenever you see someone better than you in wealth, face or figure, you should look at someone who is inferior to you in these respects” (Bukhari, Muslim). If you are reading this article online, consider this: you are one of the lucky set of human beings on the planet who can afford a computer and internet connection or at least have access to one. The United Nations Development Program’s 2007 Human Development Report notes that there are still around 1 billion people living worldwide at the margins of survival on less than $1 a day, with 2.6 billion living on less than $2 a day. Also consider that in the Quran (14:7), God says that if you are thankful to Him for what you have, He blesses you with more.
2. Serve your fellow human beings
The best way to thank God is to serve humanity, especially those who have less than you. Serving others is uplifting and rewarding. It helps us gain a better perspective on life’s challenges, making us realize how very often, are problems seem so small compared to the awesome difficulties others face. That’s why when the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Muslims were a small, poor and persecuted community, they used to give to the poor even more. They understood that when you are generous when you have less, you achieve the perspective of a winner. You are focused on the bigger picture.
3. Read Surah Ad Duha
According to one report, after the Prophet had begun receiving revelation from God, at one point a long period of time passed with no such communication from Allah. As a result, the Makkans ridiculed the Prophet and he became severely depressed. That’s when this chapter was revealed (Quran 93: 1-11). The chapter is a beautiful reminder to us to see life in the greater scheme of things, to be grateful for what we have and to never give up striving for what is right. This chapter of the Quran can be considered a direct recipe from God for depression.
4. Turn to God in all situations
Remember that nothing can harm you without the consent of God. While you must take care of yourself, rely on God and know that He is always with you and only He can give you strength in difficult times. Also remember that He will help you can come out of a trying situation as a better person if you deal with it positively.
5. Remember God’s Names
God has many beautiful Names which describe His attributes and powers. These are reminders of His Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, Justice, Strength and much, more. Supplicating to God using these Names reminds us that God has these attributes more than any other being and that we can and must rely on Him during good and bad times.
6. Say ‘Hasbun Allahu wa Ni’ mal Wakeel;
This has been translated as “God suffices me and He is the best guardian.” It is an excellent way of reminding us that whatever worries we have or problems we face, God has the answer and cure to all of them and is the only One who can really do what is best for us.
7. Make sure when you leave home,
you read this Dua ‘In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.’ Bismillahe tawakkaltu alAllahe la haula wa la quwwata illa biAllah.
8. Take your spiritual break from the world,
five times a day Taking a break away from school, work or other life activities to spend a few minutes to remember God helps you reconnect with the Creator of the Universe, fortify your soul and strengthen your resolve to live a better life that is in tune with your faith and principles.
9. End your day on a good note
Shakespeare once wrote a play entitled “All’s well that ends well.” That’s good advice for dealing with depression too. End a day that may have been riddled with challenges and frustrations by making Wudu before going to bed, thinking of God and the Prophet and counting every blessings you have
10. Stop Shaytan in his tracks
Shaytan is the source of many of our negative emotions. It’s his job to make us feel pessimistic and to despair of any good in life. When you feel these feelings coming on, stop him dead in his tracks: say Aoutho billahi minash Shaytan ir Rajeem (I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed satan).

Spiders Web

The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spider's house;- if they but knew. ” [29:41]

.
Tafsir Ibn Kathir says about this verse: This is how Allah described the idolators in their reverence of gods besides Him, hoping that they would help them and provide for them, and turning to them in times of difficulties. In this regard, they were like the house of a spider, which is so weak and frail, because by clinging to these gods they were like a person who holds on to a spider's web, who does not gain any benefit from that. If they knew this, they would not take any protectors besides Allah.
Tafsir Al Jalalayn: “The likeness of those who choose besides God [other] patrons, namely idols from whom they hope to profit, is as the likeness of the spider that makes a home for itself in which to shelter. And truly the frailest, the weakest, of homes is the home of the spider – for it neither protects it from heat nor cold – likewise, idols cannot benefit those who worship them – if they only knew this, they would not worship them.”
According to this verse, the action of taking any other besides Allah as a judge or helper is like a spider spinning a web for itself. How does a spider spin its web?
It starts by shooting forth a single thread with a sticky end that attaches itself to a sturdy support nearby, which it might happen to fall on. Notice the uncertain nature of the start of the process? The spider has no idea what the thread will attach itself to, or if it will at all. Ironically, it makes an abode for itself by starting with a single thread in this uncertain manner!
Once attached to a sturdy support, the spider goes along that fixed thread, dropping another thread downwards, which dangles in the air. It moves back along the dangling, second thread and from its middle, lowers itself downwards on to another support. When it lands on the latter, it uses it as the third point of support for its web. It continues thus to weave more threads fixed on other nearby supports until it establishes a web of non-sticky threads. It further moves radially around these base threads to form another network of threads within them.
Finally, when the web is ready, the spider leaves a sticky fluid over it to snag prey, leaving room for itself to move around (avoid) that fluid as it maneuvers its way around its new “home”, then proceeds to sit in its center.
Here are a few thoughts that come to mind about this spiderâ  web:
  1. It has a very flimsy, weak foundation. Though it hangs off sturdy supports such as walls, tree branches, or pillars, it is not strong in and of itself.
  2. It is not clearly visible – a trait that increases the chances of snagging prey. Hence, it can get trampled upon, or rubbed against, by passing objects.
  3. It is made of extremely fine, weak, interwoven threads; not strong, solid raw material.
  4. It is two-dimensional in structure i.e. it is flat. It does not stand upon firm, hard ground. There are no roofs or walls offering security and cover from destructive climatic elements. Wind or rain can wash it away.
  5. The spider spins its own web (i.e. it doesn't use any other materials) e.g. birds use sprigs or grass to build nests; ants use earth to construct anthills. The spider web, however, is a product of materials/secretions from within its own body.
  6. The spider sits in the middle of its web, somewhat in isolation. It waits for its prey to get stuck in it.
We can now analyze how taking protectors or helpers besides Allah is akin to a spider spinning a home for itself. When I thought about this verse, I pondered on what the word  means. Does it mean that if I follow the verdicts or laws of those who do not rule according to the laws of Allah, or if I believe others besides Allah to be my helpers or protectors in difficulties and hopeless situations, I am like the web-weaving spider in my adherence to beliefs that are false?

how to relieve hardship

On my fourth wedding anniversary, two days before our first child was due, my marriage crumbled.  My husband abandoned us without warning, like a thunderstorm that suddenly shifts the winds and darkens the skies on an otherwise clear day and passes just as quickly, leaving in his wake the debris of debt, women, and lies.  The next night, I went into labor alone desperately reciting hasbunallahu wa ni`mal wakil, pleading Allāhsubḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) to save my family, the physical pains of labor engulfed by the sharper, more seething pain of a broken heart.  On Friday afternoon, immediately after Jumu'ah alāh, my son silently entered the world; not a breath, cry or squirm announcing his arrival, prompting a controlled frenzy of doctors and nurses.  Although my son survived, my heart died.  I sold my house, I resigned from teaching, I struggled to pray.  I refused to leave the house for 10 months.
Such is the unexpected nature of divorce, splitting asunder the very foundation of a woman's existence, destroying her confidence, stifling her capacity to love, and paralyzing her faith.  It is in this condition that I found myself facing a tremendous test from Allāhsubḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He) – the responsibility of single motherhood.
A human being's instinctual response in the face of tragedy is survival, the struggle to fulfill basic human needs – cleanliness, warmth, sustenance, and sleep.  For a new mother, the needs of her newborn child supersede her own, as she responds to his cries, nursing, changing, and soothing him tirelessly, forcing her into an unfamiliar solitude and causing bouts of anxiety and depression. For a divorced new mother in 'iddah, the solitude is tenfold, requiring tremendous love, concern, and support from others.  Yet, tragedy repels people from the one who suffers.  Too numb from my own pain and fatigued from attending to my son, I welcomed the solitude, reflecting on my relationship with Allāhsubḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He), repenting for my sins, weeping and begging for His mercy.  I found solace in the du'ā' of Umm Salamah (rayAllāhu 'anha), which she recited after the death of her husband, Abu Salamah, and before her marriage to the Prophetṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him):
Oh, Allāh, recompense me for my affliction and replace it with something better.
In quiet dhikr and reflection, my days ebbed and flowed testing my abr and building my resilience.

Here are 7 practical steps to help you face any difficult situation
  1. Salah. Make sure you stick to praying on time – 5 times a day. Never miss a salah and do your best to pray each Salah with sincerity as if it’s your last salah in this world.
  2. Read Quran. This Quran is so beautiful that no matter what difficulties you face you’ll find solace in it. Especially read Surat Yusuf. The scholars say that no one is faced with hardship and reads surat Yusuf except he finds sweetness and calm.
  3. Make Dua. Especially the dua for removing anxiety.
  4. Give Sadaqah. Give lots of charity, as much as you can, because it helps push away hardship. And if you can’t give money, even kind words or physical sadaqah can do (i.e. helping people physically or emotionally).
  5. Set Goals and Have Vision. Don’t let shaytaan play with you and keep replaying the video of your hardship in your mind over and over again, move on! Set new goals, new projects, and remember you’re with Allah, nothing should stop you!
  6. Wake up Early. Wake up before fajr and work on your ideas and projects, or simply read Qur’an. Getting busy before day break is a definite way to move away from your hardship and overcome challenges. Get most of your ideas/work done in these early hours, these are blessed hours.
  7. Hardship is Not Lost. Remember, Allah will never forget the injustice/hardship you faced, so don’t worry about seeking revenge or trying to get justice

“Whoever recommends and helps a good cause becomes a partner therein, and whoever recommends and helps an evil cause shares in its burdens” Qur’an:4:85
“Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden (paradise) whose width is that of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous – Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity or in adversity, who restrain (their) anger and pardon (all) men – for God loves those who do good.” Qur’an:3:133-134
“Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has faith, verily, to them will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure, and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.” Qur’an:16:97
The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of God is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing one hundred grains. God gives manifold increase to whom He wishes. God has boundless knowledge. Those who spend their wealth in the cause of God, and do not follow their charity with reminders of their generosity or injure the feeling of the recipient, shall get their reward from their Lord; they shall have nothing to fear or to regret.Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. Qur’an:2:261-263)

its how u deal with it

Imagine you have a little boat. And you want to tie it to something because you found a perfect harbor with a beautiful beach and nice clear water, and you want to spend some time there and have a picnic.
But the wind is blowing, and there are rocks, and you don't want to smash your boat on the rocks. You brought a rope with you, and you also brought a big block of Styrofoam that floats on the water. So you tie your boat to it, and you're happy, smiling. The boat is secured to the Styrofoam.
Is everything okay? No problems? Big problems! The boat is going to drift because the Styrofoam is going to drift. If you don't want the boat to drift, you must find something that doesn't drift. That's why people use an anchor. They throw the anchor into the water, set it, then pull on it to make sure it is caught on something that doesn't drift.
What is there in your life that does not drift?
Everything is going to change. You're not going to want it to, but it is going to change. Your face is going to change, your ideas are going to change, and the way you view things is going to change.
This is the nature of the world you live in. It is bound by time, and time changes everything. And you are looking not to drift.
So what is there that does not drift? To find that answer, you need to find your true self, because the true self does not drift.
Find the changeless and tie well this boat of life to the changeless. Then relax. Isn't that why you came into the harbor? Deep question. Isn't that why you're here with this incredible power to enjoy life in hand?
I don't want to change your job. Do whatever you have to do, but know the difference between the permanent and the temporary.
There are all the things that are relative, and there is one thing that is not relative, that's absolute. And the absolute is within you. No variables.
You have life. That is absolute. One day you won't. But as long as you are alive, as long as breath comes into you, it is absolute. And as long as you are alive and can feel, as long as you have the capacity to be conscious, I say to you: be conscious of what is the real life.
Of all the things you could be conscious of, be aware of the existence that you have. Being aware of your existence brings joy, happiness, peace. Real peace."
