Why should you be
proud of Islam?
I am truly proud to be a Muslim because I know Islam is the
right religion and I am on the right path. I am happy
to be a Muslim because, when I die on Islam, I will go to Paradise. The
Non-Muslims will only go to Hellfire. I am proud of Islam because it is
the fastest growing religion and that more people are converting to Islam than to
any other religion. In fact, Guinness
World Records 2003, stated that “In the period
1990-2000, approximately 12.5 million more people converted to Islam than to
Christianity.”In 2002, St. Petersburg Times wrote that
“Every year, about 20,000 people in the United States convert to Islam . . . . In one of the articles in The Economist, they stated that “Many Christian scholars predict that Islam will overtake
Christianity as the world’s fastest religion by 2050” Even the British-American historian called
Bernard Lewis made a prediction in 2004 that Europe would be Islamic by the end
of the century. I am proud of Islam because it is the only religion that
gives guidance on every aspect of life. Islam tells us everything from
what happens to us when we are born to when we die and also what is going to
happen to us after death. Even Richard John "Rick" Santorum, a former
United States Senator acknowledges that, “Islam, unlike Christianity, is an
all-encompassing ideology. It is not just something you do on Sunday….” I am proud that my Prophet [i.e. Prophet Muhammad] is the best man in the
world, a prophet whom Allah addressed by saying “And
indeed, you are of a great moral character.” [Q 68:4] Michael H.
Hart in his book The 100: A Ranking of
the Most Influential Persons in History placed Muhammad peace be upon him in the first position. He writes: “My choice of
Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise
some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in
history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels.
Of humble origins, Muhammad founded and promulgated one of the world's great
religions, and became an immensely effective political leader. Today, thirteen
centuries after his death, his influence is still powerful and pervasive…. It
is this unparalleled combination of secular and religious influence which I
feel entitles Muhammad to be considered the most influential single figure in
human history. Others influential figures he included in his book are: Isaac Newton (2),
Buddha (4), Confucius (5), St. Paul (6), Christopher Columbus (9), Albert
Einstein (10), Moses (15), Karl Marx (27), Alexander the Great (33), Napoleon
Bonaparte (34), Adolf Hitler (39), Umar ibn al-Khattab (52), Lenin (84), (Vasco
da Gama 86).
